Boost for community garden a positive for all
As part of the Be Natural Landcare grants program, Coffs Regional Community Gardens (CRCG) has been awarded a grant of $4460 to work on an environmental project which will see the group connecting with the local community.

If Coffs Harbour City Council approves the suggested Combine Street site for a community garden for Coffs Harbour tonight, the project is likely to involve Landcare and Rivercare members as well as city gardeners and other community groups. Adam Curlis, the president of the Coffs Harbour Regional Community Garden Association, said the proposed site had an open drain through it, which they would like to see improved and it would take a while to get the garden up and running. In the long term they would like to see a mandala-style garden showing how to grow different vegetables in different seasons and possibly small individual plots.
