Don’t miss our Edible Forest Gardens Workshop Series

On Sunday 17th June, 24th June & 1st July, we are providing a series of workshops, each day focusing on different elements of our food forest. We will cover some of the theory behind edible forest gardening as well as being a hands on experience to get you comfortable in establishing your own productive environment. The edible forest garden is a perennial polyculture that is designed to change and evolve like a natural forest while providing food and enjoyment for humans, birds, animals and the earth.
Sunday 18th December: Banana circle workshop
Come and join us for our last workshop of the year and learn how to easily grow bananas in your own backyard. Using permaculture principles, we will be building a banana circle in the Combine Street Community Garden and plant bananas trees as well as some good companion plants.
Saturday 19th November: Composting workshop
David Wilson from CROPO will be giving his famous composting workshop at the Combine Street Community Garden. Learn how to make beautiful fresh organic compost and avoid the pitfalls. This workshop is free to all Community Garden members.
